Federal Government Paperwork and Global Warming; Hypocrisy
We often hear the about the problems concerning global warming and how it will change our earth and our lives forever and how the water will rise 20 feet and submerge our cities along the coast. There is a lot of talk about global warming and yet all this political debate seems to be hypocritical.
This is because the federal government even though it put forth the Government Paper Reduction Act, it is still causing the cutting down of hundreds of thousands of trees per year, almost as many as the New York Times in fact. If the government is really truly concerned about global warming then they need to go virtual with all their forms and paperwork with new eGovernment Online Initiatives.
It seems that global warming is being used by politicians to rally support so that people vote for them and they can get elected and get the power to rule over us. Therefore it appears to be nothing more than a power-play and not bathed in true reality or scientific research. Sure, there have been lots of reports that say that mankind's CO2 pollution is causing global warming, but no one can prove it.
Shouldn't the Federal Government stop this paperwork monster of bureaucracy and come clean, before our politicians run to the podiums and give speeches about global warming or the environment? I ask this in a most sincere way; not as sarcasm or a skeptic, but is a studier of political rhetoric.
